Number 10. Seven Mile Beach

There’s nothing like Seven Mile Beach, with its white sand, turquoise water, and breathtaking sunsets. Just over an hour from Montego Bay, this picturesque beach is one of Jamaica’s most popular attractions! Negril Bay is sheltered by one of the Caribbean’s great reefs, but there’s plenty to do. Number 9. Rose Hall Great House, Montego Bay

With a beautiful ocean view, Rose Hall is a restored 1770 plantation house. The legendary White Witch Annie Palmer ruled here with cruelty and died violently. Her home is decorated with period furniture today. A day tour is available, but if you enjoy ghost stories, opt for an evening candlelight tour. Your guides will keep you on your toes with spine-chilling ghost-sighting tales. Maybe even the White Witch will appear to you!

Number 8. Reach Falls

One of Jamaica’s prettiest and most peaceful waterfalls, Reach Falls is a hidden gem. They are located near Port Antonio in the John Crow Mountain Range’s Montane Forest. You can hike through the tropical rainforest to the top of the falls, where a lifeguard patrols. More than 20 different species of ferns grow in this emerald forest, which features cascading waterfalls, underwater caves, and fern-fringed waters. Also keep an eye out for some of the many bird species here, including yellow-billed parrots. Water shoes are also a good idea.

Number 7. Blue Hole, Ocho Rios

Waterholes with cascading cascades lie high in the rain-forest-clad mountains outside Ocho Rios. The Irie Blue Hole is also known as Island Gully Falls. You can explore the falls and jump off cliffs into refreshing pools below with guides. You will probably encounter fewer people higher up the falls, but negotiating the trail can be tricky. Water shoes are recommended because the adventure involves climbing slippery rocks. One of the most popular things to do in Ocho Rios is to visit these beautiful falls.

Number 6. Port Antonio

Located between mountains and a double harbour, Port Antonio exudes the relaxed charm of a sleepy fishing village. Unlike other resort towns, this area was once a centre for banana exports. There are many things to do in Port Antonio, including hiking jungle trails, rafting the Rio Grande, visiting Reach Falls, snorkelling, and diving into the coral reefs. Freshwater springs feed the 60-meter-deep Blue Lagoon, a favourite swimming spot. The beaches of Port Antonio are a lovely mix of white sand, shallow waters, and lush outcroppings.

Number 5. Blue and John Crow Mountains National Park

The spectacular Blue and John Crow Mountains National Park was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015. This unspoiled preserve once served as a refuge for former slaves and indigenous Taino who fled slavery here. You can explore jungle-clad mountains, waterfalls, lush rainforests, and coffee plantations within its borders. It is also impressive to see the wildlife. It is home to more than 800 endemic plant species, 200 bird species, and the world’s second-largest butterfly.

About an hour’s drive from Negril through rainforest villages, Mayfield Falls & Mineral Springs is a nature lover’s paradise. There are two beautiful waterfalls, 21 natural pools, ferns, tropical flowers, and other rainforest flora here. In the lush foliage, butterflies and birds flit, and thatched riverside gazebos beckon. During your guided hike along the river, you can clamber over slick boulders, jump off cliffs, and relax under cascades. Wear water shoes and swimwear, and bring a camera.

Number 3. Winnifred Beach

Visit Winnifred Beach for an authentic Jamaican experience off the beaten path. You’ll feel like you’re swimming in the middle of the jungle against the backdrop of lush green plants and trees. As a result, Winnifred Beach remains untouched and free for public use today after being passed over for development into a business centre and residential apartments a few years ago. Fresh fish prepared on the spot, delicious meals from Cynthia’s restaurant, relaxing in the shade, snorkelling, or joining a local football game. You can groove to sweet Reggae music on the beach on weekend afternoons.

Take a trip to paradise, where you will be surrounded by lush foliage and crystal-clear waters. Originally known as The Blue Hole, this gorgeous spot changed its name after the movie Blue Lagoon was filmed on site. The Blue Lagoon is formed when fresh water from mineral springs mixes with salt water from the Caribbean sea. With the sun hitting the water differently, the water changes color from sapphire to royal blue to turquoise.

Known as Seven Mile Beach, Negril Beach is one of Jamaica’s most beautiful stretches of sand and sea. It is also one of the best beaches in the Caribbean, backed by the famous Negril Cliffs. Although it is closer to four miles long, the beach stretches from Bloody Bay to Long Bay. School of fish can be seen swimming in the clear waters, which is perfect for water sports. The Negril Cliffs rise above the coral-fringed coast and are a popular spot to watch sunsets. It is also one of the top things to do in Negril to jump off the cliffs.

The Blue Mountains are a sight to behold. The parks are stunningly beautiful, and the rainforests are lush and green.
